Swiza URBEX MIRAGE Pocket Knife

Sand-yellow, wavy-textured, and modeled on the way Saharan dunes bend light the Urbex Mirage takes its look straight from the desert. It's a fitting color for a knife you'll probably use in one, whether that's a weekend camp trip outside Kuwait City or a longer stretch in the desert during mukhayyam season.

Swiza builds it in BIWI's workshops in Glovelier, in the Jura mountains, drawing on decades of Swiss precision manufacturing. The handle itself is BIOROC, a carbon-fibre and bio-sourced composite made to shrug off drops, scrapes, and rough handling far better than a standard plastic or wood handle would. Over that sits VULCARBONE, a rubber grip developed by BIWI that stays comfortable in your hand whether it's wet, sandy, or gloved. Both materials trace back to techniques used in Swiss watchmaking, which is a strange but fitting pedigree for a knife this rugged.

Underneath the styling, it's a properly equipped tool. A 75mm wavy-edge blade does the cutting, and around it sits a 5-turn sommelier corkscrew, a bottle opener with a screwdriver and wire bender, a can opener with its own screwdriver, a punch/reamer awl with a sewing eye, a ring, and 47mm tweezers. That's enough to open dinner, fix a tent zipper, and handle a dozen small jobs in between, all from one knife that fits in a pocket.
